"AlWasat Medical supplement" won the "Gulf Excellence Award"in the field of health media for the distinguished media institutions and printed media categories. The supplement is prepared by professional Bahraini journalists, printed and distributed by Al Wasat daily newspaper, is an Arabic language monthly magazine that contains in formative materials in the field of health education distributed for free.
"Winning the renowned "Gulf Excellence Award"is a source of pride to all Bahrainis in general and for the staff of the agency in particular as it crowned our efforts in the field of health education. The supplement is a media product that contributes in spreading health awareness spirit in the community. I believe the supplement deserved the award, which is issued by the executive office of the health ministers' council and announced by prof. Tawfeek Khoja who sent us a congratulations letter," said Bahraini media figure and CEO of "Daily Public Relations", Mahmood Al Nasheet.
"The supplement completed two years of continuous issuance last December. It went according to our plan-in collaboration with Al Wasat daily newspaper which adopted the project and contributed to be media platform that aims to spread health awareness. Al Wasat were very supportive and encouraged us to continue in this project which entered its third year," Al Nasheet highlighted.
For his part,Head of the Information Department in the agency, Mohammed Al Moganni assured that "As days pass, we discover that the supplement came to fill a big gap in the health media in the gulf, in a time all in charge of the health policies in the gulf call for the importance of spreading health education in the community to prevent them from diseases,"
"We work hard to make every issue of the supplement a distinct that contains clear and simple medical information and messages. We make sure that they are transferred in smooth and attractive ways. We are determined to go on with this style along with our partners in future issues," Al Moganni added.
On the same level, the head of the marketing department in the agency, Rabab Al-Ali, expressed her happiness for winning the award. "Winning the award reflects the integrity of the editorial policy we follow. The agency supported many health activities and events like the "World Day of Premature Children", celebrated by the Ministry of Health last November and "Time for a walk" event which was organised to encourage people to walk," Al-Ali said.
"Supporting comes within the social responsibility that rests with the company's commitment to the community. We are working to provide support for these initiatives.We are currently studying to introduce new initiatives in this area,"She explained.
Meanwhile,Head of Design Department at the agency, Hanan Rajab, stressed the keenness of"Daily Public Relations" on spreading health awareness through the supplement and its accounts in social media as well. "Our Instagram account dailypublicrelations is most notably among our social media accounts," said Rajab highlighting the extent effort made in spreading a brief healthy tips in an attractive and smooth way.
Al Nasheet expressed thanks and gratitude to all those who supported the continuity of this distinguished media work including work teams that made it possible to have a distinct supplement among publications in the area.
